Steve Thurston
Steve began his communications career in 1983 serving in the US Army where he was trained as an avionics mechanic to service and repair US Army aircraft radio and navigation systems. Steve has been a network technician since 1992. He has experience in the development and implementation of Ethernet twisted pair, broadband coaxial, fiber optic, DAS cellular and point to point microwave networks in support of enterprises of all size, from small business automotive, to multiple building campus communications. Steve started Communications Connection in January 1996 where it has been a business entity for over 30 years.
Keith Thiel
Keith worked with the company from 2009 until 2019, when it incorporated and became Communications Connection Corporation. Keith is the Senior Field Technician, Field Operations Manager, and Co-Owner/Partner. Keith helps bring a bright and friendly attitude to our customers along with quality work and peace of mind to our worksites. Keith also believes it is important to exceed the call of duty whenever possible.
Heather Sprague
Heather has 25+ years of experience in customer service, customer relations, management, data entry, billing, bookkeeping, scheduling, and more. Her tenacity and dedication ensure everything runs efficiently and productively. Her expertise in handling customer and employee relations, along with her organizational skills and diligence, brings professionalism and team cohesion to the company.
Joseph (Jay) Thurston
Joe assists in the office with bookkeeping and data entry.
Alex Carpenter
Alex Carpenter worked in retail for 20 years, learning inventory management, basic installation and assembly of electronics, and scissor lift/forklift operation. He attended the Art Institute of Denver where he learned the workings of audio and video equipment in detail and gained a basic understanding of electricity. Since starting with Communications Connection Corp in June of 2025, he has been instrumental in installing cabling and cellular boosters for Google Boulder. He has also been immersed in installing dialer systems for elevator emergency phones throughout Denver Public Schools. He is a hardworking individual with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
Sean Thompson
Sean has spent 20+ years building and supporting the infrastructure that keeps organizations connected and secure. Starting with telecom and fiber networks for major government and healthcare clients, he's evolved his expertise into modern cloud networking, Linux systems, and network security infrastructure. His current focus is telecom, Ubiquiti networking and security, and comprehensive IT infrastructure. Sean delivers results that work, backed by decades of hands-on technical experience.
